The big clear out

I have spent the past few days going through my drawers and wardrobes ... With my clothes taking over the house it was no good.  Either we had to move out or some of the clothes had to go.

With a heavy heart I set about sorting through my clothes ... Ruthlessly discarding anything that was looking tired or was never likely to be worn.  It is a strangely unpleasant experience ... I hate to let good clothes go!

I believe that I have worked my way through the sadness of such an event and have found the silver lining ... Now I have space for new clothes!  Shopping will ease the pain!

Question is where to start... I love a good sale and as I remember these tend to happen around the end of July.  Expect to see the bargains I've picked up at the beginning or August.

In preparation I propose to lose a few pounds by the end of the month.  Wish me luck!

Swim with Style

Swimwear as a mother can be a nightmare.  The having of babies is not so kind upon the tummy.

Swimming Costumes and high wasted bikinis are the best way to cover that mum tum.  That doesn't mean you can't swim in style.  Here are some current costumes that will make the best of your figure without lacking in fashion.

Flattering to the figure by drawing your eye to the center.

Get Confidence Through Clothes

Looking through my wardrobe I realised there are some clothes that just make me feel more confident.  Pair them with a pair of beautiful heals and I'm boosted all day.  But is this just a crazy quirk of me or is it true in the population as a whole.

According to Professor Karen Pine this isn't a madness held by just me but clothing has an affect on all.

She looked through various research and found that clothing did indeed alter the mind.

Dress for Your Mind

Did you know that colour can have an affect on your mind and mood? Research suggests this is the case.
For instance red can help to create positive feelings.  It is also connected to passion, power and romance.  Based on this a little red dress is far wiser for a first date than a little black one.

Dress in Blue to calm and relax but avoid if you are having a sad day.
