The big clear out

I have spent the past few days going through my drawers and wardrobes ... With my clothes taking over the house it was no good.  Either we had to move out or some of the clothes had to go.

With a heavy heart I set about sorting through my clothes ... Ruthlessly discarding anything that was looking tired or was never likely to be worn.  It is a strangely unpleasant experience ... I hate to let good clothes go!

I believe that I have worked my way through the sadness of such an event and have found the silver lining ... Now I have space for new clothes!  Shopping will ease the pain!

Question is where to start... I love a good sale and as I remember these tend to happen around the end of July.  Expect to see the bargains I've picked up at the beginning or August.

In preparation I propose to lose a few pounds by the end of the month.  Wish me luck!

Swim with Style

Swimwear as a mother can be a nightmare.  The having of babies is not so kind upon the tummy.

Swimming Costumes and high wasted bikinis are the best way to cover that mum tum.  That doesn't mean you can't swim in style.  Here are some current costumes that will make the best of your figure without lacking in fashion.

Flattering to the figure by drawing your eye to the center.

Cover the tum and drawing the eye to an alternative figure shape

Adventures with my Tria Age Defying Laser - 1 month use

Updating on my post in May I've now been using my Tria Laser for a month ... So how has it gone?

After getting used to the laser at the second setting I moved up to level three (about two and a half weeks after starting).

Level three is a bit more painful.  It still feels a bit like tiny pin pricks but each of the four areas are treated for around 90 seconds.  This also means it now takes three times as long to use.  All in all with pre cleansing treating and post serum it still only takes about ten minutes.  The batteries however run down much faster on the highest level and I find myself having to charge it after every couple of treatments.

Post treatment my face now goes tomato red and I'm pretty sure I could cook eggs on my face for at least ten minutes.  It does sting for a while after ... I'd definitely advise avoid touching your face too much as it makes it sorer and don't do this treatment right before bed.  It takes my skin around 30-40 minutes to settle down and then still for a few hours after I look a bit too pink.

Make Your Own Eczema Cream

A long time sufferer of Eczema I decided enough is enough ... there must be an answer out there to my itchy woes.  So a googling I went.

I stumbled across this excellent recipe:-

1/4 cup of oats
3/4 cup of Coconut Oil
1 tablespoon of Olive oil.

Quick and easy to make simply grind the oats to a fine flour like powder (a blender works well), Gently heat the coconut oil in a pan until it turns to liquid then add all the ingredients and mix well.

Pour into a container and leave for a few hours to harden.

This cream smells delicious and used daily has really improved my condition.

Oats contain their own healthy oil and have been known to help with Eczema and coconut oil and olive are excellent moisturisers.  some say coconut oil helps reduce wrinkles ... i'm not sure if this is true but it does smell beautiful and has helped keep my itches at bay.
